(Hoboken, NJ) January 2019   - Hudson Pro Orthopaedics is delighted to announce the addition of Board-Certified Podiatrist, Thomas Azzolini, DPM, DABFAS, DABPM, to the growing multidisciplinary practice. Dr. Azzolini has extensive experience in foot and ankle surgery including pediatrics, flatfoot reconstruction and growth plate fractures. He performs total ankle Joint Replacement surgery and is trained in multiple systems such as Wright Medical’s Infinity, Zimmer-Biomet’s Trabecular Metal and Integra’s Cadence systems. In addition, Dr. Azzolini offers a wide range of optimal non-surgical treatment options on a patient by patient basis, optimizing time to recovery, including computer generated foot orthotic fabrication and the use of regenerative therapy such as platelet rich plasma grafting and amniotic tissue grafting. 

In addition to Dr. Azzolini, Dr. Shital Sharma, specializing in podiatric medicine and surgery, will also join the practice. Dr. Sharma trained with Dr. Azzolini and was Chief Resident at his residency program. She has worked with him for a number of years and has maintained a thriving practice in Hoboken and Saddlebrook, NJ.

Dr. Thomas Azzolini is the Director of the Podiatry Medicine Surgery Residency with added credential in Reconstructive Rearfoot/Ankle Surgery, (PMSR/RRA). He is also Chief of the Podiatry Division at Hoboken University Medical Center. He has been in private practice in Hoboken, New Jersey, for over twenty-five years, at Ankle and Foot Specialists of Hoboken, LLC. In addition, he holds certifications from the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgeons, as well as the American Board of Podiatric Medicine. Dr. Azzolini is a member of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons, the American College of Foot and Ankle Orthopedics and Medicine, the American Podiatric Medical Association, and the New Jersey Podiatric Medical Society.
